Beta version of VLC Player now available for Windows Phone devices
VideoLAN developers officially announces the release of beta version of VLC Media Player for Windows Phone with new features. Well you know that VideoLAN earlier announced that they soon going to provide VLC Media Player for Windows Phone devices, but till yet only beta version was available for Windows Phone devices and now the community has just finished a stable VLC Player for Windows Phone devices.
VLC Media Player is quite popular among desktop users and now it becomes one of the most popular media player on smartphones too. VideoLAN community planning to increase their popularity so they are providing VLC for almost all platforms. Well if we talk about VLC for Windows Phone then the community still tries to resolve some critical issues before releasing it for Windows Phone devices.
The actual confirmation about arriving VLC Player in Windows Phone App center is not yet revealed but we hope that the updated VLC Player might be available for Windows Phone devices by the end of this week. Microsoft reveals the stats of active Lumia and their active Windows Phone Apps
According to survey conducted by Microsoft regarding active Windows Phone users, it is confirmed that over 50 million Lumia smartphones are still active and over 320,000 apps are used by active users of Windows Phone. This gives a great confidence to Microsoft to expand its business more and be a great competent against Android smartphones.
According to one of the announcement at WMPoweruser, Microsoft reveals some of its private and interesting statistics regarding active Windows Phone users and their stats regarding usage of Windows Phone apps. The stats reveals that there are over 560,000 Windows Phone developers who all together put over 320,000 apps on Windows Phone store.
The Microsoft already planned to drop Nokia brand and also plan to start its own Microsoft Lumia brand because Windows Phone rapidly increases its demand among users around the globe. The Microsoft Lumia brand name already used with Lumia 535 smartphone, but soon it will be available with all Lumia models.

Minecraft Game officially arrives for Windows Phone, now in Testing Phase
Microsoft officially purchased Minecraft creator Mojang for $2.5 billion for its Windows based devices. Earlier this year, the developers of Mojang already confirmed that soon Minecraft going to land for Windows Phone and now they have revealed the first screenshot of Minecraft on Windows Phone.
According to tweets by Tommaso Checchi, it is officially confirmed that Minecraft soon going to available for Windows Phone devices. Currently, there is no information revealed about its availability for Windows Phone devices, but we are assuming the it soon will be available for Windows Phone as it is now in testing phase.
Checchi also clarified that bringing Minecraft on Windows Phone wasn't a decision made following Microsoft's acquisition of Mojang, but the development was started long time ago. He also added, "The port is in the first stages though. It's kind of slow now and needs optimization, so in full Mojang style the release date is 'soon.' Pre Release Beta Program for Microsoft Office available for Windows Phone too

According to one of the announcement at WinBeta, Microsoft is planning to send some invitations for getting the feedback about pre-release of Microsoft Office for Windows Phone devices. Well this beta release is only available for tablets, phones and desktops. This feedback program will start after receiving invitation from Microsoft.
After completing the onboarding steps, you will be added to their list of available participants. As features and experiences become ready for feedback, they will contact participants meeting the necessary profile with details about the program and also extent an invitation to provide feedback.
Well Microsoft also claims that the feedback program will vary in length from few weeks to as long as several months. The company haven't revealed any information about release date of pre-release beta program of Office but we hope soon they will spread the word about it.
