Sony Smartphones officially confirmed that they are not going to provide Android 4.4.x KitKat update for Sony Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V smartphones. This might be the shocking news for Sony Xperia users specially which won't receive Android KitKat update but it's true that Sony will not provide upgrade for Android KitKat for selected Xperia models mentioned above.

According to Sony developers, the Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V handsets are not worthy for getting Android KitKat upgrade because recently these handsets are updated with support for webpages which are according to latest version of Android they support. Few days back, Xperia T3 receives Android KitKat update but these handsets won't be getting KitKat update in near future.

Sony primarily focusing on current models and provide KitKat update for them. However, Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V was 2 years old. The people who still owns one of these handsets must upgrade their device if they wish to take advantage of newer Android KitKat operating system on their device. Sony Album developers officially announces the release of New Album Update 6.2.A.0.22 for Sony Xperia Smartphones. Few days ago, Sony announced the release of Album 6.1.A.0.14 and they again release this new update for Sony Album especially for Xperia smartphones.

According to official announcement, this new album update 6.2.A.0.22 comes with colour icons in pull-out navigation menu. The main highlighted feature of this update is its ability to share online content. The developers of Sony Album state that this release doesn't connet to PlayMemories service in this version but it will be corrected in upcoming versions. Sony Xperia officially announces the release of minor firmware update build versioned as 18.1.A.1.21 and 18.2.A.1.18 with new changes and minor improvements. Well according to sources, it is believed that currently this update is available only for Xperia T3 owners. This update doesn't include any new features but only includes fixes and improvements.

According to official announcement made by Xperia, it is confirmed that firmware update 18.1.A.1.21 and 18.2.A.1.18 are recently certified by PTCRB and available with minor improvements. The build number for LTE variants (D5103 and D5106) are moved from 18.1.A.1.17 to 18.1.A.1.21 whereas HSPA+ Xperia T3 moves its build version from 18.2.A.1.14 to 18.2.A.1.18. Sony Smartphones officially announces the release of Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Dual smartphones with new features. There were lot of news about Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 dual phones getting an update for Android 4.4.2 KitKat and here it is available with certifications by PTCRB. As you know that Few days ago, Sony Xperia E1 and E1 dual smartphones receives an update for Android KitKat and now its time for Xperia M2 and M2 dual smartphones.

According to one of the announcement at GizmoBolt, it is officially confirmed by PTCRB that the Android 4.4.2 KitKat 18.3.C.0.37 and 18.3.A.0.31 firmware updates are certified for Sony Xperia M2 smartphone whereas Android 4.4.2 KitKat 18.3.B.0.31 firmware update is certified for Xperia M2 Dual smartphones. Well it is still unclear from when this update is available for Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 dual smartphones but we hope soon it will be available for Xperia M2 and M2 dual handsets.

Apart from the firmware build version, not much information is shared about this update. We assume that this update might be available in next week. According to our hypothesis, it is assume that this update probably include the same features which you have already noticed in Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual smartphones. Sony Smartphones officially going to introduce new Sony Xperia T3 Smartphone in Hong Kong and it will be available for sale from 14th July, 2014. Hong Kong will be the first city which recieves Xperia T3 for sale. As of release, Xperia T3 will be available in three colors which are Back, Purple and White.

According to official announcement at Xperia Blog, it is officially confirmed that Xperia T3 Smartphone is going for sale in Hong Kong from 14th July, 2014. The company might be planning to launch it in European countries too but till now there are no news about it.

The Sony Xperia T3 Smartphone comes with steel frame with 7mm thickness and weight of 148gm. Apart from this, Sony also claims that Xperia T3 will be world's thinnest 5.3 inch smartphone with 5.3-inch screen display of 720p IPS resolution. This phone is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 chipset along with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which is further expandable via microSD memory card.

After a long period of waiting, Sony Smartphones finally announces the release of Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for Sony Xperia Z, Xperia ZL and Xperia ZR smartphones. Well as you know that Sony continously providing firmware upgrade for its Xperia handset from past few months. As you know that till now, Xperia T3 and Xperia M2 already get Android KitKat upgrade where as Xperia T & Xperia TX won't get any Android KitKat upgrade in near future.

According to one of the announcement made by SonyMobile on Twitter, it is officially confirmed that Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia Tablet Z and Xperia ZR smartphones soon going to receive Android 4.4.4 KitKat upgrade which mainly includes fixes, battery improvements, WiFi and email improvements. Apart from KitKat features, some of the new features are introduced by Sony developers.

Well currently there is no information about when will this upgrade is available, but one thing is sure that this upgrade will be available via Over The Air (OTA) which means all the appropriate Xperia users will get notifications regarding Android KitKat upgrade as soon as it is released by Sony. Sony Smartphones officially announces the release of Android 4.4.4 "KitKat" update for Sony Xperia Z Ultra Google Play Edition smartphone. From past few weeks, Sony consistently providing KitKat update for Xperia series smartphones. Till now, Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra recieves update for Android KitKat.

According to official announcement by XDA developers, this KitKat update for Sony Xperia Z Ultra Google Play Edition comes with patch a series of vulnerabilities in OpenSSL which was discovered in previous flavors of KitKat OS. This update includes minor bug fixes which were found in previous KitKat version.
