Karbonn Sparkle V (First Android One Handset) arrives in UK for Sale Only for £130

Google few months ago launched their new Android One Project through which they try to sell cheap Android smartphones with almost advanced features. Well there might be a great opportunity for those who seeks to purchase cheap Android handsets but have advanced features. Currently, Google launches its first handset powered by Android One Project.

According to announcement by Amazon UK, Karbonn Sparkle V smartphone officially arrives for sale in UK at a cheap price and this is the first smartphone which comes under Android One Project sponsored by Google. The specs of Karbonn Sparkle V includes Android 4.4 KitKat, 1.3GHz Quad Core processor, 5MP camera, 4.5 inch capacitive touchscreen, 4GB ROM, 1GB RAM and MicroSD upto 32GB.

As you know that Google already launched its Android One Project in India but didn't get much attraction because of local retailers who shows their disapproval for this project. Google some how manage to sell their Android One handsets with the help of India based OEMs such as Karbonn, Spice and Micromax.

UK is the second country where Google just started to sell Android One devices and they have started by selling first Android One device, Karbonn Sparkle V which is currently listed on Amazon UK. Google News & Weather for Android receives Material Design UI & Tablet Support


Google officially announces the release of new updates for Google News and Weather App for Android devices with new user interface which looks like upcoming Android L style known as Material Design. As you know that Google News and Weather provides comprehensive and personalized view of headline storie, local news and weather reports.

According to official announcement at Google Play Store, this newly updated Google News and Weather App comes with tablet support along with new resizable homescreen widget. Google Chrome 38 Dev Browser Updated with Minor Fixes for Linux Distros


The Google Chrome development team officially announces the release of Google Chrome 38 Dev Channel with minor bug fixes. As you can see that this is a development channel which includes new proposed features and fixes for previous stable and beta releases. This release primarily includes bug fixes along with improvements in previous release.

According to official announcement, Google Chrome 38 Dev browser comes with Preloading the plugin that starts NaCl translator which saves time when any user tries to connect. This release uses a qualified path for grit which is included in chrome/browser/ui/views. It keeps a copy of page id in RenderViewHost which ensure that it stays in sync with renderer's copy.

This release also generates correct key string to IME extensions for media keys and explicitly set fontFamily for AppMenu. It also includes fix passing of init_data_type size to CDM_4 and CDM_5. It update settings string from "Chrome device" to "Chromebook" or "Chromebox" as appropriate and also adds accessibility features to the new avatar menu. Google Nexus 6 Smartphone might receive 5.5 inch Screen Display

According to one of the announcement at AusDroid, it is officially confirmed that Google is planning to launch Google Nexus 6 by the end of this year. Google releases Source Code of Android 4.4.4 KitKat for Android One Smartphones


Google officially announces the release of Android One Smartphones such as Micromax Canvas A1, Karbon Sparkle V and Spice Dream UNO which are one of the mid ranged smartphones and now available for sale in India. With the launch of Android One Smartphones, Google also announces the availability of source code of current Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system for these smartphones.

According to one of the annoucement at Google Groups, it is officially confirmed that the source code of Android 4.4.4 KitKat is now available for download specially for these three Android One Smartphones. This new version contains fix for gyroscope function. Well you might be surprised to learn that why these three smartphones, why not others ?

So, dear readers, Google also announces that they soon will provide the source code of Android 4.4.4 KitKat for other OEMs like Acer, ASUS, HTC, Lava, Lenovo, Panasonic and XOLO. Google Chrome 37 Beta Browser released with Fixes and Improvements


Google Chrome team officially announces the release of Google Chrome 37 Beta with new changes and bug fixes. This is a beta version which includes bug fixes and other improvements and available for testing purposes.

According to official announcement, Google Chrome 37 Beta browser comes with disabled screen metrics emulator before closing render widget. This is a speculative fix for crash where screen metrics emulator is being disabled during shutdown as emulator uses compositor, so it should shutdown before willCloseLayerTreeView is called.

This beta release also allows 0 fps frame rates in deserializable manner. Earlier some webcams mainly Win XSplit broadcaster indicate 0 fps frame rate when they are not started or configured. Google Chrome 38 Beta gets Improved KDE Wallet Compatibility & Other Fixes


Google Chrome team officially announces the release of Google Chrome 38 Beta web browser with new changes and minor fixes. As you can see that this is the beta version with minor improvements and fixes of bugs which were reported in earlier release. Well this is the second release under Chrome 38 Beta branch and includes several bug fixes.

According to official announcement, Google Chrome 38 Beta browser comes with improved KDE Wallet compatibility along with several bug fixes like fixed GSM in settings. According to recent EME spec changes, ReleaseSession() is replaced by CloseSession() and RemoveSession(). Until all changes to support both methods are in place, calls to ReleaseSession() should call RemoveSession() in order for existing prefixed EME applications to continue to work.

The earlier issue of OEM menu is also fixed in this release. Some of the OEMs don't let us change the background, so the padding is incorrect and also including sizing the menu too large causes clipping. This release also includes a new tab and keyboard navigation to new avatar bubble along with fixed stale keyboard bounds on login screen. Among other new changes, Chrome 38 Beta browser includes speculative fix for crash during overscroll effect creation, prevent the screen from sleeping when the desktop is being captured, fixed GestureNav on HDPI displays and fix a crash when sign into sync. Google Chrome Dev 38 Browser receives Minor Improvements & Bug Fixes


Google Chrome team officially announces the release of Google Chrome dev 38 web browser for all platforms. This is again a development release which primarily includes fixes of previous dev builds. Currently, this build is available for Windows, Mac and various Linux Distros.

According to official announcement, Google Chrome Dev 38 browser comes with fixed device registration and addition of ExtensionService comments for various methods which are deprecated. The developers make an attempt to load system fonts using Custom Font interface of directwrite instead of system font collection interface. How to Install Google Chrome 39 Browser on Mageia & OpenMandriva

Step Wise Installation of Google Chrome 39 Web Browser on Mageia and OpenMandriva

Installation of Google Chrome 39 on 32-bit Mageia and OpenMandriva

Step 1 : Before beginning the installation, Open the terminal and run or copy the following command in terminal to import public key of google on your 32-bit Mageia and OpenMandriva system.
$ sudo rpm --import https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub
Step 2 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to download updated Google Chrome web browser on your Mageia and OpenMandriva system.
$ sudo urpmi.addmedia --update chrome_i386 http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/rpm/stable/i386
Step 3 : Finally, run or copy the following command in terminal to install Google Chrome 39 browser on your Mageia and OpenMandriva system.
$ sudo urpmi google-chrome-stable
After install, verify the version of your Google Chrome. If it is updated to newer version then your installation is complete. If you face any problem while installing then report it to us via comments.

Now search for "Google Chrome" in Application menu and launch it, you will see Google Chrome 39 is successfully installed on your system.

Nexus 6 going to arrive with 5.9 inch Display & Turbo Charger Support


Google officially publishes the specifications of their next flagship, Nexus 6 smartphone. As you know that Google Nexus 6 is in news and rumors from past few months and lot of Android fans are waiting for its launch, so that they can upgrade their older Nexus handsets. Step 1 : Before beginning the installation, Open the terminal and run or copy the following command in terminal to add Debian repository for Google Music Manager Beta 1.0.117 in sources.list.d file on your PPA based Linux distros.
$ sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://dl.google.com/linux/musicmanager/deb/ stable main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google-musicmanager.list'
Step 2 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to download and add key for Google Music Manager 1.0.117 on your PPA based Linux Distros.
$ wget -q -O - https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add -
Step 3 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to update recently added Debian repository on your PPA based Linux Distros.
$ sudo apt-get update
Step 4 : Finally, run or copy the following command in terminal to install latest beta version of Google Music Manager 1.0.117 on your PPA based Linux Distros.
$ sudo apt-get install google-musicmanager-beta
After installation, search for "Google Music Manager" either in Unity Dash or in Application menu. Now upload your favorite songs to music manager and then arrange them according to your needs.
