PeaZip developers officially announces the release of Peazip 5.4.1 with new GUI design and other new changes to improve the accessibility of Peazip.  Like other Zip archivers, Peazip also allows you to extract, create and convert multiple archives at a time.

According to official announcement, Peazip 5.4.1 comes with minor changes in file manager and enhanced extraction or archiving feature. The new design of file manager consists of new tabs area for easier use of options screens, improved Layout context menu in Create/Extract screens. The file manager featured Scan ations and Hexadecimal preview in Test button dropdown menu.

The extraction and archiving feature of Peazip 5.4.1 Archiver receives improved information during multiple extraction and archiving tasks. It also provides quicker access to last used directory in Output path menu. With this release, it is quite possible to automatically remove original files after archival and to remove original archives after extraction with customizable deletion procedure.

The Peazip 5.x series already includes major code and design cleanup, improved navigation menus, faster add to archive routine, improved inclusion/exclusion advanced filters, new synthetic archive information function, improved UAC integration, localized Windows context menu. PeaZip developers officially announces the release of PeaZip 5.5.1 with few changes and improvements in file manager, extraction and archiving, windows installer along with other miscellaneous bugfixes. This release particularly improves identification of supported archive types, known file types which can be handled as archives and adds new "Update Only" mode for Windows Installer.

According to official announcement, the PeaZip for Windows receives support for scanning with Windows Defender. The file manager of PeaZip comes with improved links to online resources. While operating, Pause button is highlighted instead of Stop by default, to prevent unaware click canceling running tasks. It also fixes extract to new folder from application's drag and drop context menu.

The Windows Installer of PeaZip comes with new installation mode in which "Update Only" install new program's files and keeps existing system integration unchanged. The Windows Installer now shows link to Help and FAQ pages. The ISO files are associated to PeaZip by default, to avoid overriding system's defaults unless explicitly requested by user. Apart from this, PeaZip now supports 181 file extensions after addition of Microsoft's .mic language interface pack and .mui multilingual user interface package formats. RARLab officially announces the release of WinRAR 5.11 with new changes and several bug fixes. Lot of Windows users uses WinRAR software as extracting and compressing tool. Like other archivers, WinRAR also used to compress the size of files or folders and also decompress them to their original size. It convert major formats like RAR, WIP and TAR from one form to another.

According to official announcement, WinRAR 5.11 comes with support for TAR archives which means you can now extract TAR archives containing folders with pax extended headers, earlier it wasn't possible to extract TAR archives via WinRAR program. The "Keep broken files" extraction option is also supported for 7-Zip archives.

Apart from these new changes, WinRAR 5.11 also includes several bug fixes which were reported since WinRAR 5.10 release. The bugs which are reported since WinRAR 5.10 release includes ZIP archive created with "Do not store paths" option included unnecessary empty name records for folders, archived files could I have 1 hour modification time error in Windows XP and deleting a file in RAR5 solid archive containing files stored with -ver switch caused such files to lose version information.
