Wine 1.7.37 released with UTF-7 Encoding Support & Multi-Channel Audio Support

Alexandre Julliard, developer at Wine, officially announces the release of Wine 1.7.37 with several bugfixes and new changes. Well like previous, this is the 37th maintenance release under 1.7.x branch which primarily includes Windows applications fixes and UTF improvements. This release overall includes 71 bugfixes.

According to official announcement, Wine 1.7.37 comes with support for UTF-7 encoding along with interface change of notifications. It also includes number of graphical fixes for themed controls and support for multi-channel audio. The Wininet now implemented on top of Win32 socket. You can also download the source tarball of Wine 1.7.37 to compile it on your machine.

Among other bugfixes, Wine 1.7.37 includes Ever17 requires the Courier New font, Flickering window title bar in Su Doku  Active in virtual desktop mode, IE8 UTF-7 doesn't work, multiple games need 'xapofx1_4.dll' audio effects component for XAudio2, RagTime 5.6.5 installer does not respond to mouseclicks properly. Wine 1.7.27 released with Improved RichEdit Interface & ICMP 6 Support


Alexandre Julliard officially announces the release of Wine 1.7.27 with several improvements and fixes for games and Windows apps. Well this is another maintenance release which comes with bug fixes which were reported since Wine 1.7.26 release. As you know that Wine is a software which allows you to run Windows applications on Linux or Mac systems.

According to official announcement, Wine 1.7.27 comes with various improvements to RichEdit interfaces along with initial support for ICMP version 6. The developers also did some more work on Direct2D support along with numerous bug fixes. This release contains lesser fixes than earlier release. Wine 1.7.29 receives Support for BiDi Mirroring in DirectWrite & Other Fixes


Alexandre Julliard, developer at Wine, officially announces the release of Wine 1.7.29 with minor new features along with several bug fixes. This is another maintenance release under 1.7.x branch which again includes various fixes for Windows games and applications. This is one of the most used branch of Wine because it updates quite often with several fixes which entice its users to use it. As we all know that Wine software allows its users to run Windows applications on Linux and Mac machines.

According to official announcement, Wine 1.7.29 comes with support for shaping and BiDi mirroring in DirectWrite along with few more C runtime functions. Wine 1.7.31 released with Gecko Engine & Visual Studio 2013 Support


Alexandre Julliard officially announces the release of Wine 1.7.31 with new changes and fixes. As you know that Wine is software which allows you to run Windows applications on Linux and Mac systems. Like as usual, this release also includes fixes for Windows Games to run properly on Linux and Mac system along with fixing of Windows app for Linux system.

According to official announcement, Wine 1.7.31 comes with new version of Gecko engine which is based on Mozilla Firefox 34 and also provides support for the Visual Studio 2013 version of the C/C++ runtimes. It also includes more font metrics support in DirectWrite along with some more Direct2D work along with seveark other bugfixes. Among other fixes, Wine 1.7.31 includes fixed GRE Powerprep software crashes, fixed Microsoft Jet which was failed to install, fixed startup issue of Skype 6.6, fixed warhammer which faces issue of dark omen doesn't launch. Wine 1.7.33 released with Copy/Paste Support in MSHTML & Other Game Fixes

Alexandre Julliard, developer at Wine, officially announces the release of Wine 1.7.33 with minor new changes and several bugfixes. This is the 33rd maintenance release under 1.7.x series and contains only 29 bugfixes which is much less than the previous Wine 1.7.32 release. As you know that Wine software creates a compatibility layer between Windows and Linux which allows you to run Windows applications on Linux and Mac.

According to official announcement, Wine 1.7.33 comes with support for copy/paste commands in MSHTML along with several more API sets DLLs. This release includes better handling for loss of focus in Direct3D windows and some more font support in DirectWrite along with several bugfixes. Like usual game fixes, Wine 1.7.33 also includes fixes for some Windows based video games like Starcraft II, Ableton Live 9.1, Gears of War, Age of Wushu and Path Exile. Wine 1.7.26 released with Improved Common File Dialog & Few Game Fixes


Alexandre Julliard, developer at Wine, officially announces the release of Wine 1.7.26 with few improvements along with several bug fixes. This is another maintenance release under 1.7 series which includes improvements and fixes for Windows based games. This branch is still not stable because it still carries some issues which will be fixed by development team in near future.

According to official announcement, Wine 1.7.26 comes with few improvements to common file dialog along with number of C improvements. This release still includes more DirectWrite functions. Wine 1.7.28 released with Compilation Support for JavaScript & Other Fixes

Alexandre Julliard, developer at Wine, officially announces the release of Wine 1.7.28 with few improvements and fixes for Windows games for Linux. This is another development version under 1.7.x series which mainly includes total 21 fixes since Wine 1.7.27 release. This release doesn't include any new feature but provides fixes for few Windows applications and games.

According to official announcement, Wine 1.7.28 comes with support for conditional compilation in JavaScript, Bidirectional text support in DirectWrite, stubs for DirectPlay Voice support and several bug fixes.
